Doreon develops and installs new epoxy terrazzo to restore, replicate, and extend existing floors throughout New York.
We carefully study the original floor’s matrix color, aggregate, density, divider layout, and finish—whether replacing a failed area, continuing into an adjoining space, or rebuilding an entire floor.

Terrazzo restoration is not always a matter of grinding and polishing. When areas delaminate or fail—or when an existing floor must continue into a newly configured space—the replacement must be developed in direct response to what remains.
Before replacement terrazzo is installed, we study the original matrix, aggregate size and distribution, divider layout, and finish. Only then do we develop a system that relates to the existing floor as closely as the material allows.
Over time, cement terrazzo develops a patina that new cement terrazzo cannot easily reproduce. For repairs and extensions, epoxy allows us to precisely tune matrix color, aggregate selection, and distribution to the existing floor.
Epoxy can accommodate any color and an extensive range of suitable aggregates. We are not limited to standard pigments or conventional stone blends. Each component is selected by color, size, shape, and proportion, then sampled and refined until the replacement carries the same overall character as the original.
Even with careful analysis and sampling, a perfect match is not always possible. Our objective is to create the closest relationship between old and new, so the repair belongs to the floor rather than calling attention to itself.

Tell us about the existing space, the areas requiring repair or extension, and what the project needs to accomplish. Share photographs, drawings, or site information, and Doreon will help define the right restoration approach.
